PDG Eric Kimani is an entrepreneur, philanthropist, published author, motivational and inspirational speaker.
He is the founder of Palmhouse Dairies Limited, a dairy processing plant. Together with his wife Margaret, he runs the Palmhouse Foundation, an education trust that provides financial support to needy students. In 2011 he was honored with the Moran of the Order of the Burning Spear (MBS) by His Excellency the President of Kenya for his philanthropic efforts.
He holds a Bachelors of Laws degree from the University of London. Before his entrepreneurship journey, he worked for various companies including KTDA Ltd and Sameer Africa Ltd where he served as the Chief Executive Officer. His business acumen has also seen him serve as a board director institutions such as I&M Bank, Faulu Kenya and Sasini PLC.
Kimani has been a Rotarian for over three decades and has previously served as a Past President of the Rotary Club of Nairobi North and Past District Governor of District 9200. During his stint as District Governor in 2012/13, (which at the time consisted of Kenya, Uganda Tanzania and Eritrea) he grew the District with the formation of a record 21 new clubs and led a record fundraising for the Rotary Foundation.
He is a member of the Rotary Club of Muthaiga North and a Paul Harris Society member. He currently serves as Rotary Endowment and Major Gifts Advisor (EMGA) of Region 28 of Zone 22, 2021-24.
Kimani is happily married to Rotarian Margaret and together they have three daughters. He is also a proud grandfather of two. During his free time, he enjoys taking boat rides, fishing, horse riding and golfing.
