These Jericans Are History In Miguta Primary School!

In a show of gratitude to having a water supply in their school, Pupils of Miguta Primary School tossed away the small jericans of water that caused them shame among their peers. To address the Water Sanitation and Health area of Rotary focus, The Rotary Club of Nairobi-Lang’ata provided water harvesting facilities to the school. This project provided 25,000 litres water storage tanks. Gutters were fitted to ensure water collection in rain season. The water will serve 350 pupils of the primary school, that no longer need to carry water to school. 112 girls also received 1 years’ worth of sanitary towels and a pack of 4 undergarments, this will ensure they attend school each month.
